:: Counting My Blessing ::

I have made it a point to not feel sorry for myself and not to let others feel sorry for me. I find it hard to accept pity from others.

When 'that' thing happened, I lost quite a handful of friends. Those who took his side, those who judged and decided that I was to blame for the whole thing, those who simply are idiotic.

I was crushed and fell to the bottom end and thought that the life that I've known and love has ended. I fell into the loneliness pit..

But that didn't last long.. I decided soon enough that I'm only gonna do things that I love. Associate myself with positive people, ask help from the Almighty and realign my mindset so that I only attract great things into my life. I kept on telling myself that all that has happened is a blessing in disguise and that I will someday look back and realize that what I experience is not that bad at all.. Compared to those who lost their family to the tsunami, those who lost a limb or those with a terminal disease, mine will be like a walk in the park.

True enough, not long after the tragedy, I landed a job that I've been dreaming of.. befriended friends who make me laugh and lift me up in an instant, found solution to the debt that was dumped on me and found new activities I've always wanted to do but didn't know how to before..

First horse riding, now diving.. I've yet to learn a lot of things about diving but so far I'm enjoying every minute of it. The people I've met are awesome.. They look beyond my flaws and my past, they appreciate my talents and they give me support and encouragement that I needed. The best thing is that they have thought me to just lay back and enjoy each moment as they come.. No more protocol, no issues about who's making more money or who's got a bigger car.

The best thing is that I'm being paid to dive and be by the beach. I am grateful for this job!. When I want to ride, they have a horse stable.. when I want to dive, well, I have to dive since its my project in Terengganu..

Moral of the story is, when you think that you've hit rock bottom, think again. There is always somebody else out there who's having a worst day than you.. Be patience because you never know what God is planning for you. Always be optimistic and think of only good things and good things will come you way.

At the same time, be grateful.. So, Alhamdulillah.. I am very very grateful for all my blessings..

Chow peeps.. Take it easy.. And take care of your loved ones..

:: Digigit Bobob ::

No, bobob is not a person. He's actually a horse. And of all the horses, I love those who like to lick and play with his mouth. So this Bobob likes to do just that.
Yesterday, I went to Kiara to visit him. As usual, I patted his mouth and he started licking my palm.. I paid no attention to him coz usually he would just lick away. But yesterday, after licking my palm for a while, he bit me! Arrgghh sakit gila!!
So skang tangan aku dah lebam kena gigit...
Hampeh!

:: Horsing Around ::

Yesterday I got bored sitting at home. So I called En Rosman and asked if I could ride. He said that I could so I went at around 5. So for the first time, I used my brand new chap and riding boots yesterday. Yeyyyy!!!

At first he was a bit skeptical about letting me ride freely in the paddock, but after 2 rounds of lunging, he decided to let me loose. Since I'm ok with my trot (thanks to En Penn & Awi), he taught me the sitting trot. The thing about sitting trot is that its good if you free your feet from the stirrups. The point is to understand and follow the horses movements and to let the horse feel your instructions with your legs.

Being a gung-ho rider, I released my foot from the stirrups and loosen the rein. (mind you, i was scared but then I remembered Razi's & Razif's advice, "horses can smell your fear. So don't show any. When you're on them, you're the king!"). Then I started to control the horse using my legs. It was Amazing! The horse (whos name is 'deaddog') actually did what I asked him to do!

So today I went riding again.. I was suppose to canter and maybe learn diagonal but unfortunately I got a lazy horse today. He didn't even want to trot properly. Maybe it was my fault as i felt a bit tired and sleepy from all the rain. Ah Well, i can always do it tomorrow..

During all this, I met some amazing people. All the horse community actually know each other and what amazes me is that they always have nice things to say about one another. I am also blessed to know the right people like En Penn & En Fuad & Cikgu Mat Din. So when I mention any of them, I always get special treatment, support and respect beyond words. So that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you have to respect people, be nice to them, and appreciate them. You will get the same treatment in return. It makes life so much easier.

So ok peeps.. Need to have my massage now. My body aches like nobody's business.

Take care!

:: Penyerahan Watikah ::

Hi Peeps..

I've been really busy lately. My department is trying to push everyone to do at least 15 appointments every week. Which means averagely 3 appointments everyday. I have no problem with that since I've been doing 3 to 4 appointments everyday anyway. The thing that I'm not so comfortable with is the extra paperwork.. But all in all, I'm still happy going to work everyday and I love the fact that my boss recognizes the staffs talents and weaknesses.

Apart from that, I'm busying myself with anything horses. I just love being with the animal, and learning about them bit by bit. Being with the only animal in the world that perspire is just like being with a 6 year old child. They throw tantrums once in a while, they manja with you when you treat them well and they adore you when you put their needs first. Even with their 1 week memory span, they are so irresistible to me.

The past few days I've participated in the preparation for this 'penyerahan watikah' of georgetown and melaka to the Yang Dipertuan Agong. They are having 20 of DBKL horses carrying the riders dressed in complete 18th century attire and an elephant for the ceremony. The day before yesterday was the rehearsal and a few of the horses got really nervous and jumped everywhere in front of the stage. So yesterday they have changed a few horses and the full rehearsal went on smoothly. The riders look so macho in their malay attire, complete with tanjak and sampin, the horses behaved amazingly and all the dancers did a great job.

Anyway, the event is gonna be tonight at around 7:45pm at Dataran Merdeka. Pls do come by if you are around the area. My advice is to come early as we are expecting a lot of people, with the school holiday and all. If you do come, take care of your children. Don't let them approach the horses from behind. We don't want the same incident as last year!

Oh by the way, I'm going riding again this Sunday! yey!!!!
